Privacy Policy

Your PDF files never leave your device. The only text that can leave it is text you choose to send to Cloud AI.

1. Document Data & File Processing

DocsBee processes PDFs on your device. The PDF tools do not upload document contents, filenames, or passwords. When you choose to continue into another tool, a temporary copy is saved in this browser's local storage (IndexedDB) and deleted when the next tool opens it. Unopened transfers expire after 30 minutes and are deleted on your next visit. Closing a tab alone does not delete an unopened transfer.

2. No Account or Personal Data Collection

We do not require user registration, email addresses, credit cards, or personal identifiers. We do not store or track any document history.

3. Optional local usage counts

Usage counts are off by default. If enabled below, this browser counts tool starts, completions, downloads, supported errors, cancellations, and visits. Counts contain tool routes and event totals only, never filenames or document contents. They are not transmitted to us. You can export them yourself; disabling the option removes the saved counts.

4. Preferences and offline files

Your language choice is stored in this browser. Offline mode caches application pages, scripts, fonts and processing engines, not your PDFs. It is ready only after the footer reports “Ready offline on this browser”. Clearing your browser's site data removes offline files, preferences, and temporary document transfers.

5. Support messages

If you use the Contact page, the name, email address and message you type are sent to our contact form service and delivered to [email protected]. We use them only to reply to you. Do not include confidential document contents or passwords in a message.

6. Cloud AI features

Some tools (Ask PDF, Summarize PDF, Translate Text, Translate PDF and Rewrite Text) offer two modes: Local AI and Cloud AI. Cloud AI is currently the pre-selected mode on those tools. You can switch to Local AI on the same page before you start.

What is sent. When you run a task in Cloud AI mode, your browser sends the text needed for that task and our instructions for it. This can be text you typed, or text extracted from your PDF on your device (for example the passages used to summarize or answer a question). It is sent as plain text in a JSON request.

What is not sent. The original PDF file, images, filenames and passwords are not uploaded. Our AI service rejects file and image uploads.

Where it is sent. To a Cloudflare Worker that we run (docsbee-ai-worker.flickz.workers.dev). The Worker passes the text to Cloudflare Workers AI, which runs the language model and returns the result. Both are run by Cloudflare. We use the IP address of your request only to apply a rate limit.

How long it is kept. The code of our Worker does not save your text and does not write it to logs. Its logs record only technical details: the task name, the model name, the number of messages, the number of characters, how long the request took, and error messages. The text is used only while the request runs. Cloudflare, which runs the Worker and Workers AI, handles requests under its own privacy policy and terms.

Do not use Cloud AI for text you must keep on your device. Choose Local AI instead. Local AI downloads a language model to your browser once, then processes text on your device. Offline Cloud AI is not available.

7. Website requests

Your browser requests application files from our hosting provider, which may retain ordinary access logs such as IP addresses and requested pages. These requests do not include your PDF contents.
